Results - Miss Teen USA 2013

I had the absolute time of my life at Miss Teen USA! I feel so blessed to have gotten to represent the state that I love so much! It feels nice to be home though!  Although I do have to admit that I miss my new friends, the beach, and the palm trees so much already! I just want to congratulate my friend Cassidy Wolf on winning Miss Teen USA 2013! She truly deserves it, and she will be an amazing role model for teens around the country!  Congratulations sweetheart! I'm looking forward to following your journey! 

I was also blessed being voted Miss Congeniality! :) Words can't accurately describe how much this means to me! I completely, honestly, and truly adore every single one of the girls whom I had the pleasure of spending my week with. They represent each of their states flawlessly. I can honestly say that I made some of the best friends I have ever had. I love all of you girls! Time and distance can never tear us apart! :) We're pageant sisters forever, and we will always be the Miss Teen USA Class of 2013! :)

Last but not least, I want to thank God, my family, friends, and pageant family for all of the support, love, and encouragement throughout this incredible journey! :) Always go for your dreams, and never let anyone tell you that you can't accomplish something! God bless you all!

Miss Teen USA 2013

It is officially here! I leave in 3 days for Miss Teen USA 2013 at Atlantis, Paradise Island Bahamas! God truly is so good! I'd like to genuinely thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continued love and support! I truly feel blessed to be representing such an amazing state! Thank you for your prayers, for voting for me at missteenusa.com, for all of the encouragement that you have graciously given, and for being the sweet individuals that you all are! If you'd like to watch me compete, it will be streamed LIVE on www.missteenusa.com at 7 PM Central time on August 9th for the Preliminary Competition, and on August 10th (same time and place) for the Final Competition as well as the crowning of Miss Teen USA 2013! I won't have any cell phone service since I'll be international, but I'll anxiously be waiting to talk to you all once I am back in the States! I am so excited for this amazing opportunity, and I want everyone to know that your dreams can come true if you're willing to put in the time, energy, and dedication! Don't let anyone hold you back! Thank you to my wonderful family, friends, relatives, & pageant family for supporting me throughout this entire journey! and....THANK YOU GOD FOR ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! :) You're my Rock, Jesus, and this is ALL for your glory, Lord! "For I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!" -Philippians 4:13. I pray I will make myself, my family, Nebraska, and my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ proud of me at Miss Teen USA! Miss Teen USA 2013 Fan Vote

The Miss Teen USA 2013 fan vote is still going on through August 10th, 2013!  You can vote 10 times a day per email address! The winner who ends up with the most votes receives an automatic spot in the Top 16 at Miss Teen USA! All you have to do is go to missteenusa.com, go to the "Contestant" tab at the top of the page, select 2013, and then scroll down to Nebraska! Thank you so much for your love and support! Royal Image Autograph Signing

I had a wonderful time at the autograph signing at Royal Image Salon & Spa in Norfolk!  Thank you to Julie for organizing this successful event! She made it all happen!  She's so talented, and I loved getting to spend time with her! Also, thank you to my amazing Grandma who drove down to support me, and also thank you to my sister, Dad, & Mom for showing up and supporting me! :) I also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Brooklyn and Kim - you girls are so sweet! Thanks to everyone who showed up and supported me and the salon! :) It was definitely a fun night! God bless!

Happy birthday to the best pageant big sister a girl could ever ask for!!  Ellie, you are an amazing young lady - so genuine, intelligent, beautiful, and kind! You're one of a kind! Happy birthday to such a special girl! I love you so much, and I hope you had a terrific birthday girly!! 

Fan Voting/Prepping for Miss Teen USA

I've been preparing like crazy for Miss Teen USA! We had our final bootcamp last weekend - complete with fashion walking, makeup lessons, mock interviews, and a super fun photo shoot! I'll post the photos from the shoot below! It was a weekend of learning info and lots of bonding time with my pageant sisters whom I'll never forget!

This past week the official contestant packet as well as my opening number dress and shoes came in this past week! Wooo hoo! It's all becoming so real! :) I leave for Miss Teen USA 2 weeks from tomorrow! :) 

The fan vote for Miss Teen USA is also now live! Today is now the 7th day of the 2013 Miss Teen USA fan voting! You can vote 10 times a day per email address! Voting ends August 10th. You can go to missteenusa.com, the contestants tab, 2013, and then scroll down to Nebraska! Please take a moment and vote for me to secure my spot in the Top 16! It would mean so much! 4th of July Parade

It was so neat riding in the 4th of July parade in my hometown and having my whole family experience it along with me! I even was lucky enough to have my brother and some of his friends throw out candy while my sister Desi rode along in the convertible! :) I fully enjoyed getting to see so many people that I know and adore! I'm so thankful to live in such a wonderful country with so many freedoms and opportunities! I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day! God bless the USA!

Miss USA 2013 - Las Vegas

Hi everyone! :) I have lots to update you on! I recently went on an amazing trip to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Miss USA 2013 pageant! :) Words can't describe how much fun I had! Right when I arrived at Planet Hollywood, I had a photo shoot! Later that night, all of us teens selected our Sherri Hill dresses for the fashion show and then had rehearsal for the fashion show with the amazing Kent Parham - the Miss Teen USA choreographer! It was also so neat getting to meet all of the teen titleholders who are representing our great nation! They all represent their states flawlessly. That next day I was so blessed to have the opportunity to participate in the Miss Teen USA Runway Experience Fashion Show at the Fashion Show Mall! The show was an absolute blast; I had the absolute time of my life! God also blessed me with receiving 1st prize at the fashion show! It is so surreal.... He is so good! :) The following day I got to watch the Miss USA dress rehearsal... It was beyond exciting! And Miss USA.... what an exhilarating event! I can't find words to describe how fun that night was! The Jonas Brothers and DJ Pauly D did an amazing job with their performances, and a huge congratulations is in order for our new Miss USA from Connecticut - Erin Brady! :)

I am so beyond proud of my pageant sister Ellie - Miss Nebraska USA 2013. She did an amazing job at Miss USA and represented our great state so wonderfully! The rest of my Vanbros pageant sisters looked flawless as well! I'm so proud of all of them! :)

I also got to meet many well-known individuals throughout my trip! I got to meet Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Stormi Henley (Miss Teen USA 2009), Kamie Crawford (Miss Teen USA 2010), Danielle Doty (Miss Teen USA 2011), Logan West (Miss Teen USA 2012), Nana Meriwether (Miss USA 2012), and many more incredible people! I also saw some other amazing people... but didn't get to personally meet them: Olivia Culpo (Miss Universe 2012), Mr. Donald Trump, Ms. Paula Shugart, Katherine Webb, DJ Pauly D, and Kevin Jonas!

I loved meeting so many of my class of 2013 Miss Teen USA state titleholders! This trip made me that much more excited for the Bahamas! Today marks 37 days until I leave for Miss Teen USA! Wooo hooo! :)
